In a mysterious and surreal intermediate zone somewhere between Tehran and Winnipeg, the lives of several characters intertwine in surprising and mysterious ways. Elementary school students Negin and Nazgol find a sum of money frozen in the winter ice and try to recover it. Meanwhile, Massoud leads an increasingly confused group of tourists through the sights and historical sites of Winnipeg. Matthew leaves his meaningless job at a government office in Quebec and embarks on a mysterious journey to find his mother. Space, time, and personal identities merge, intersect, and echo in a surreal comedy of deception.
